Top Bothell Wealth Management Firm Continues Growth Through Strategic Relationships and Young Talent

Bothell, WA (August 26, 2019)—Viridian, a leading local financial wealth management firm, is pleased to welcome two new college graduates from Central Washington University (CWU), and cites Viridian’s collaboration with CWU’s Personal Financial Planning Program as being instrumental to its growth. CWU’s program, the first of its kind in the state of Washington, prepares graduates to sit for the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) certification examination upon graduation.

“Sourcing young talent is one of the most challenging aspects of the financial services industry today. That is especially true in the greater Seattle area’s climate of technology-driven conglomerates, which frankly are pulling most young people away,” said Adriel Tam, Viridian CEO. “I am delighted with the relationship we have fostered with CWU and their CFP® program – they are developing future advisors and leaders in our industry, and we are fortunate to have the infrastructure and resources at Viridian to invest in CWU graduates’ ongoing education and training.”

Viridian was recently ranked in the Top 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies by Puget Sound Business Journal and was named one of Seattle Magazine’s Top 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2018. Its partnership with CWU aligns with one of the company’s core values – sourcing top talent to help offer superior service to its clients, community and colleagues.

“The thing that I love about the partnership CWU has with Viridian is that it is truly a win/win situation,” said Professor Steele Campbell J.D., CFP®, Assistant Professor of Personal Financial Planning at CWU. “We are placing students at a firm where we know they will succeed and, in return, Viridian is hiring new planners who are ready to sit for their CFP® exam immediately and who know the industry language. It is a great opportunity for both organizations.”

This partnership began two years ago, when the first intern from CWU began working for Viridian. It has now resulted in two employees joining the company. “We look forward to a robust, long-term relationship with CWU, and its ability to continue fostering growth for both organizations,” said Tam.
