Gloria ‘Glo’ Kamae
Glo is a planning specialist who believes that the right financial plan starts with truly understanding a client and their values. She focuses on thoughtful and intentional financial planning for individuals and families to help them have better control of their lives.
Glo has been with Viridian, formerly Appropriate Balance, since 2016. She has a deep understanding of the financial industry thanks to her previous roles as a client services associate and an operations specialist.
As a Polynesian woman and daughter of a first-generation immigrant, Glo understands first-hand the unique influence cultural values can have when it comes to finances. Growing up in a household where the ideas of wealth management and legacy planning were literally foreign concepts, Glo had a crash course in the importance of, and need for, a well thought out financial plan. As she watched her parents struggle, she quickly learned the value of tactful budgeting and prioritizing what you want most over what you want in the moment.
Glo is also a first-generation college graduate, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Biotechnology with a minor in Business Management from Brigham Young University. She also knows the importance of continuing education, which is why she is working on her Certified Financial PlannerTM designation.
Although she is a transplant to the Pacific Northwest, Glo and her husband can’t imagine living anywhere else. She loves traveling to new places, enjoying Seattle’s vibrant music scene, crushing her husband at board games, exploring the beautiful PNW, and eating way too many carbs.
